## Contact us

Email: [email protected]

To help us answer quickly, tell us:

  • Your iPhone model and iOS version
  • The Vocabee version (App Store → Vocabee → version number)
  • How you sign in: Apple, Google, or email
  • What you expected to happen, and what happened instead

You are also welcome in our Discord community, but email is the fastest way to reach us directly and is the right channel for anything involving your account.

Signing in

Which methods work? Sign in with Apple, Google, and email with a one-time link or code.

The email link or code never arrived. Check your spam folder, confirm you entered the address correctly, then request a new one—codes expire after a short time. Corporate and school mail filters sometimes block them; a personal address usually works.

I signed in with Apple and hid my email. That is fine. Apple gives us a private relay address, and replies to that address reach you. If you later turn off email forwarding for Vocabee in your Apple Account settings, our replies will stop arriving.

I signed in with a different method and lost my progress. Each sign-in method creates its own account. Signing in with Google will not find an account created with Apple, even for the same email address. Sign out and sign back in with the method you used originally.

Sign-in fails repeatedly. Check your connection, force-quit and reopen the App, then try again. If it still fails, email us with the exact message you see.

Subscriptions and purchases

Where do I manage or cancel? Subscriptions are billed by Apple, not by us. Open iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, choose Vocabee, and manage or cancel there. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.

I paid but do not have access. In the App, tap Restore Purchases, and make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account that made the purchase. If that does not work, email us with the date of purchase.

I switched devices. Sign in to Vocabee, then tap Restore Purchases.

I want a refund. App Store refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue them ourselves, but tell us what went wrong and we will help.

Deleting the App did not stop my billing. Removing an app never cancels a subscription. Cancel through iOS Settings as described above.

Captures and lessons

The camera will not open. Vocabee needs camera access. Go to iOS Settings → Vocabee → Camera and turn it on.

Recognition got it wrong. Lessons are generated by AI and are sometimes inaccurate. Try again with the object filling more of the frame in better light. If a lesson is wrong or inappropriate, email us the word and what you captured, and we will look at it.

Where are my photos stored? On your device. Vocabee does not save your photos to our servers. A copy of the image is sent for recognition and is not stored by us—see the Privacy Policy.

Location tagging. This is off unless you turn it on, using the location button on the capture screen. When on, Vocabee records your position at the moment of capture and keeps it on your device with the capture—it is never sent to our servers. Looking up the place name uses Apple’s built-in geocoding service, so the coordinates go to Apple for that step. Turn tagging off from the capture screen at any time, or revoke the permission in iOS Settings → Vocabee → Location.

Your account and data

Delete your account. In the App: Settings → Account → Delete Account. You may be asked to sign in again first, for security. This permanently removes your account and your saved progress, and cannot be undone.

If in-app deletion fails, or you no longer have the App installed, email [email protected] from the address on your account and we will delete it for you.

Photos, location tags, and local progress are stored on your device and are removed when you delete the App.

Request a copy of your data, or a correction. Email [email protected].

What do you collect? The Privacy Policy lists every category and every provider we share with.

Reporting a problem

Report bugs, inappropriate generated content, or a security issue to [email protected]. For security reports, please give us a chance to fix the issue before disclosing it publicly.
